‘ Magic ‘ the new Crypto Trading Platform from John McAfee kicks off
The computer programmer, cybersecurity specialist and entrepreneur John McAfee has just introduced his recent project – McAffee Magic, a crypto trading platform.
McAffee’s ‘Magic’ is more of an aggregator for cryptocurrency exchange than a standalone exchange. It presently enables it’s customers to trade through a single embedded dashboard on various exchanges. No cryptocurrency keys are stored by McAfee Magic itself. To set this up, users will need to plug in APIs from their other exchanges.
The platform comes with two options – normal spot trading and shadow trading, where in the normal spot trading like the name goes, trades go like business as usual and in the shadow trading, Novices will also be able to copy or mimic skilled traders.
The platform also include other characteristics like “set and forget” to simultaneously set purchase and sell orders. Users can also create automatic trades on their behalf using the platform. Who can use the exchange is not subject to jurisdictional constraints.
However, The website servers for the site had encountered repeated High Orbit Ion Cannon (HOIC) DOS attacks from logging into the “Magic” experience.
John McAffee disclosed over a week ago that this fall he is planning to launch his own token “McAfee Freedom Coin.” McAfee defines his coin design as a scheme to render it valuable only inherently with no value obtained from any other asset further stating:
“… It is not based on any commodity nor is it connected to the value or behavior of any external item or entity. The value of the coin will always be zero in relation to any other currency yet it’s natural market value is free, completely, to grow.”
The token however has not been linked to the operation of ‘Magic’.
